Featuring Keynote Speaker: Jodi Rell
Wednesday, August 30, 2017
Alumni House, Fairfield University
Fairfield University is celebrating the launch of Ready to Run® Connecticut, the state’s first and only chapter of Ready to Run®, a national network of nonpartisan campaign-training programs dedicated to electing more women to public office. Please join us for a special kick-off reception on Wednesday, August 30, featuring keynote speaker and former Connecticut governor Jodi Rell, the second woman in history to ever serve in this executive leadership role.
Alumni, community members, and elected officials are invited to attend the reception, to learn about the Ready to Run Connecticut Program and have the opportunity to network with other civically-minded people. Cocktails and refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
Modeled after the Center of American Women and Politics (CAWP) highly-successful national program at Rutgers University, Ready to Run® Connecticut offers women an all-day leadership and campaign training workshop series that equips them with the necessary strategies, knowledge and networking tools to actively pursue leadership positions in state and local government.
