League of Women Voters of Litchfield County

The LWVLC is an all-volunteer political organization, but is not affiliated with a political party. We are committed to promoting effective public policy and the informed participation of all citizens in the voting process.

Monthly Meetings are at 9:30am on the first Thursday of the month, September-May, unless there is a holiday, at the Litchfield Community Center. All are welcome to join us at our meetings!

Upcoming meeting for June is our Annual Meeting, which will be on a different day/time than usual. It will be Wednesday, June 4th at 6:30pm at the Litchfield Community Center.

What Do We Do?

Voter Registration

We do on-site local voter registration drives at colleges and events to increase voter participation. In the fall of 2024, over 100 college students alone were registered to vote!

Moderate & Run Debates

In the interest of helping citizens to make informed decisions when voting, we invite local candidates to participate in debates every election season.

Our local chapter works to provide information on a variety of public policy issues, and advocates for action on these positions taken by the LWV.

Our membership likes to be informed. Each year, we provide opportunities to learn about a wide range of topics, in-person and on Zoom too!
